What is the Affiliate Rewards Program?
It’s Sure Solar’s way of saying thank you for trusting us with your energy independence. If a person you refer goes on to purchase and complete an eligible installation with Sure Solar, you receive a $350 cash reward.
Who can be an affiliate?
Anyone aged 18 or over, with no overdue amount owing to Sure Solar, taking part in a personal capacity. You don’t need to be an existing Sure Solar customer. Sure Solar employees, contractors, sales representatives, suppliers and professional lead generators aren’t eligible, unless Sure Solar agrees otherwise in writing.
How do I become an affiliate?
If you’re a Sure Solar customer, you’ll automatically receive your unique referral link once your installation is complete. If you’re not a customer but meet the eligibility criteria above, get in touch with Sure Solar on admin@suresolar.com.au and we’ll set you up with your own link.
How much do I get for a successful referral?
$350 cash, paid by bank transfer, for each successful referral.
Who can I refer?
Anyone who isn’t already a Sure Solar customer and hasn’t previously been in contact with us (no prior enquiry, quote or consultation). They also need to own the property, or be authorised to make purchasing decisions for it, and the property needs to be within Sure Solar’s service area.
What if the person I refer has already been in touch with Sure Solar?
Then the referral won’t be treated as successful, and no reward will be paid. To qualify, your referral needs to be their first point of contact with us, and can’t be submitted retrospectively for someone we’ve already been in contact with.
How do I submit a referral?
You don’t fill anything in yourself. Share your unique referral link with the person you’re referring. When they click it, it opens a short form for them to complete, and that’s what registers the referral against you. If you don’t have your link, please contact us.

Not to worry – if you can’t find it in your emails, or on your online affiliate portal, just email us at admin@suresolar.com.au and we will resend it to you.
What if more than one affiliate refers the same person?
Only the first valid referral is eligible for a reward. Sure Solar’s records of registration time are final in determining which referral was received first.
How long does my referral stay valid?
3 months from the date it’s registered. Within that time, the referred customer needs to sign an agreement, have their system installed, and pay their account in full.
What if the referred customer doesn’t install within 3 months?
If installation is delayed due to Sure Solar’s availability, the referral stays valid until the rescheduled date; if the delay is on the customer’s side, it’s at Sure Solar’s discretion whether the referral remains valid.
What counts as a “successful” referral?
A referral is successful once the person you referred has:
- Signed a contract with Sure Solar
- Had their system installed, and
- Paid their account in full.
Is there a minimum spend?
The referred customer’s installation needs to come to at least $10,000 out of pocket. This is the amount they actually pay after the STC rebate is deducted. It doesn’t matter what the system consists of (solar, battery, or both), as long as the net payment meets this threshold.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No! You can make as many successful referrals as you like and earn a $350 reward for each one, as long as every referral is a separate, genuine person who meets the program conditions.
Can I refer myself, my own property, or a company I own?
No. Self-referrals aren’t permitted. You can’t earn a reward for purchasing another system yourself, upgrading an existing system, buying for another property you own, or arranging a purchase through a company, trust or entity you control. You also can’t refer someone who lives at the same address as you.
What’s the online portal?
Each active affiliate has access to their own portal where it will show you who you have referred, successful referrals, and monies to be paid.

How do I log into my online portal?
The email address that you have registered with Sure Solar is the email you will use to sign in. If you’ve ever forgotten your login details, you can click ‘Sign in with secure code’ and it will email you a link to reset your password.
When do I get paid?
Within 5 calendar days of your referral’s installation being completed and their account being paid in full.
How do I get paid?
In your online portal, you can enter in the bank details that you want the payment made into.
What if I provide the wrong bank details?
It’s your responsibility to give Sure Solar accurate bank account details. Sure Solar isn’t responsible for payments made to incorrect details you’ve supplied.
What can (and can’t) I say when referring someone?
You’re not an employee, agent or representative of Sure Solar, so you can’t make commitments, provide quotes, or negotiate on our behalf. Don’t make misleading claims or guarantee savings, rebates, approvals, installation dates or system performance. You do need to disclose that you may receive an affiliate reward, and you can’t use spam, harassment, paid advertising, purchased contact lists or unauthorised Sure Solar branding to get referrals.
Do I need to pay tax on my reward?
That depends on your individual circumstances, so we’d recommend getting your own advice.
Is there a chance I won’t be paid?
No reward is payable if the agreement is cancelled, rescinded, refunded, reversed, or if any amount remains outstanding. Sure Solar may also withhold or reclaim a reward, and exclude someone from the program, if it reasonably believes a referral is fraudulent, fabricated, or inconsistent with the intent of the program.
Does referring someone guarantee I’ll get paid?
We want our affiliates to get the most out of the program, and be rewarded for referring Sure Solar. It is at Sure Solar’s full discretion over whether and how it engages with any referred person.
